Tough as they Come. Success...true successs

“I received this book from the Blogging for Books program in exchange for this review.”

There is one quote in this book that pretty much sums up the optimistic attitude of this book:  " To live in freedom. To go forward. To love your family. To make something of your life. To never give up. To never quit. That's success". --SSG Travis Mills.

His story reminds us that bad and good things happen to all people. In the beginning of the story, he is a bit cocky, sure of himself that sometimes you want to say "is he kidding".  However, through hard work and perseverance he remains sure of himself and confident, but he learns to accept help from others. He learns that accepting help is not quitting. He learns it's okay to need others and thus he is able to give more to others. He and his family face tragedy, we can't even begin to imagine. I like how he puts in real moments and it isn't all "I faced it with no fear or pain or tears". He admits to some fear, some pain, some frustration. True heroes and warriors do not deny pain but they push through it and find ways to overcome it to victory. That is what this book is about. He learns more about himself and grows in ways that he could not have imagined. Like anyone, yeah, he wished it hadn't happened, but he went on to victory because what happened does not define him.

I recommend this book to anyone who likes to read true life hero stories or even stories about people overcoming tragedy.
